Stewart Hawke Elementary School

With the cold weather still upon us, it is very important to remember to dress warmly.  This includes having each child wear ski pants, a toque, mitts, a warm winter jacket and warm winter boots.  We thank you for dressing your child properly!

Olympic fever has hit Stewart Hawke!  Students have been engaged in numerous learning experiences focused on the 2010 Olympics to be held in Vancouver in February.  As a culmination of our learning, our students will be taking part in their very own Olympic events on Friday, February 12.  The Going Green Team from HBCH will give a short presentation at 11:00 a.m., and our Olympic Opening Ceremonies will immediately follow at 11:30 a.m.  After the ceremonies are over at 12:15, students will be asked to eat their lunch as they regularly do.  The Olympic events will then begin at 1:05 p.m., and take place over the course of the afternoon both indoors and outdoors.  If you are available to help with your child’s classroom, please notify the classroom teacher via the student organizer.
